In all our past endeavour in the United States, the United Kingdom and throughout the world, AAUCA has found it imperative to offer not only degree programmes but also an on-going selection of duration/time-sensitive, Certificate and Post Graduate diploma programmes. Such programmes are designed for a specific target audience and intended to provide, documented, academic and career enhancement for adult, in-work, executive professionals. This need has become more pronounced with each passing year in that there are, literally, thousands of outstanding in-work, adult professionals who cannot abandon their professional obligations…and yet need to continue to upgrade their skills such that they are always on the very cusp of executive professional excellence.

AAUCA’s Certificate and Post Graduate Diploma programmes are the result of a joint, cooperative academic effort between AAUCA and the Global Executive Training and Development Association (GETDA). GETDA is an international entity expressly intent upon the development and enhancement of skills among global executives. AAUCA is the beneficiary of an exclusive contract with GETDA – to proffer Certificates and Post-Graduate Diplomas (at all AAUCA locations around the world) …which result from completing of prescribed GETDA training and seminars.

AAUCA is periodically reviewed by the Chairman of GETDA to ensure the ongoing maintenance of development programme quality…and to ensure that only GETDA approved individuals are allowed to conduct its training and development programmes worldwide.

Certificate and Diploma Documents
The Certificates, and Diplomas, for which AAUCA trains all its attendees are offered exclusively by the Global Executive Training and Development Association (GETDA). Each successful participant of a Certificate or Post Graduate level Diploma receives the relevant qualification by Air Mail …directly from GETDA… or, the documents are awarded at a ceremony at the end of each programme.

Admission advantages to Certificate and Post Graduate Diploma programmes include:
1. In the care of AAUCA senior staff on site, the evaluation of candidates and admission to the Certificate and PGD programmes are always conducted as swiftly as possible.
2. The AAUCA senior staff are authorised to evaluate prior learning and ‘experience’ from “suitably qualified” candidates for admission…including adult professional candidates.
3. The Certificate and PGD courses are conducted as “rolling attendance” so that candidates may join at any time.

Certificate Courses
• There are only 10 individual certificate courses required to reach the full diploma level

• Students can take just one of the Certificate courses…or go on to take them one after the other

• Completion of each course brings a full Certificate to each student….completion of 10 certificate-accruing courses …bring an additional Diploma. Succinctly a determined student…any in-work, professional taking certificate classes with GETDA could achieve a Diploma in less than a year.

Post Graduate Diploma Courses
• The programme is structured so that each course is ‘concertina-ed’ to be only a month long.

• The number of contact hours can also be covered during weekends so that in-work professionals will find it possible to attend these courses even while maintaining a full professional schedule.

• Completion of each course brings a full post graduate diploma ( in the relevant subject ) to each student

• Most PGD candidates complete 10 diploma-accruing courses in 10 months. This causes the conferral upon each such candidate of an over-arching PGD …which details all the diplomas passed. Succinctly a determined student…any in-work, professional …taking certificate classes with AAUCA… could achieve the over-arching Diploma from GETDA in less than a year.

Examples of PGD Course Content:

1) Senior Executives Development
Covers trans-national management, international affairs-governmental relations, cross-cultural management, human resources development… and comparative public policy [this last course would only be part of the Executives programme]. It is also important to note that GETDA offers a prestigious, elite, programme for the General Managers/Directors of State enterprises. This will bring together – in selected, secure, venues – the Chairmen/Directors and senior officials of government-owned organizations of many burgeoning new nations …for specialized advanced-level training. In addition, the student may choose an area of emphasis within this certificate programme.

2) Senior Educators Development
The programme will emphasize the acquisition of “state of the art” awareness of the latest in teaching methodologies, testing systems, research on educational methodology, legal aspects in the classroom, cross-cultural realities, the spectre of chemical dependency among students, etc. Among faculty at our disposal are distinguished British and American Educators who may be invited to the teaching venue to participate in specific facets of this programme.

3) International Relations For Business Executives
Some of the topics covered are American and British relationships with the developing world, conflict and resolution, theories of development and underdevelopment, foreign policy and decision making, and theories of international economics.

4) Global Management & Policy Studies
Some of the topics covered are the new international order, international protection of human rights, alternative international development policies, women in the world, and international negotiations and diplomacy.

5) Global business and management
Areas to be addressed include: Strategy Formulation & Implementation, International Human Resources Management, overcoming cultural constraints to international business, computer methods for business and economics for the new millennium, organizational behaviour, the current international business environment and financial management. Working with fraternal academic entities throughout the world GETDA is in a position to bring all its Post Graduate/Certificate programmes to appropriate educational venues …where they may be offered in on-going sequences throughout each year. GETDA is delighted to state that these Post Graduate/Certificate programmes have proven particularly easy to add to on-going programme offerings at most of the fraternal institutes with which it is associated…indeed they have become a means to increase interest in, and enrollment into, the masters degrees. Our experience has been that senior, in-work, professionals clamour for the opportunity to enhance their professional and societal standing …and their assessment of their own professional competence, by attending The PGD/certificate programmes.

However all parties should bear in mind that AAUCA works sufficiently closely with the Global Executive Training and Development Association so that …once some or all of the above mentioned Certificates and PGD’s are being offered at an approved AAUCA location… AAUCA could approach GETDA to help organise further Post Graduate Diplomas in areas which are specifically relevant (indeed might be imperatives vouchsafed by the Ministries of Education authorities) in any country.
